The Air Arms Pro-Sport has earned a faithful following among field target shooters because it's remarkably accurate and easy to shoot.

However, you don't have to shoot field target to appreciate this gun. In fact, you might want to get the .22 for hunting rats, mice, rabbits and squirrels. It's super-quiet because it has a barrel shroud that helps deaden the sound.

The Monte Carlo stock and raised cheekpiece are just a couple of the gun's ergonomic features. Air Arms has increased the amount of area that is checkered on the grip and forearm. If you've ever had sweaty palms while hunting or during a match, you'll appreciate the extra gripping power! The Pro-Sport has a 12-groove Lothar Walther barrel and comes to you in a tuned state. That means you won't have to spend hours or days fiddling with the gun to make it shoot perfectly.

This rifle does not come with a scope or sights, so remember to pick up a scope when ordering!

As you can see by the set-up in the picture below, I tested the Pro-Sport using a sliding gun vise to absorb any recoil and a solenoid to pull the trigger so that the tests were untouched by human hands. The pellets that were used were RWS Hyper Max 5.2 grains, JSB Diabolo Exacts 8.4 grain, Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum Heavy 10.5 grain and 16 grain EunJins. Of the four pellet weights, the 8.4 JSB Exacts gave the smallest groups of 5mm at 879 feet per second with 14 foot-pounds of energy at a distance of 10 meters. Bear in mind that it normally takes about 150 shots to properly break-in a spring-piston air rifle. Therefore as time passes, you should find that the groups will narrow even more. Also, because each air gun has its own personality, your results may vary... Dirt E. Harry
