Quiet power...something you don't usually find in a spring gun.

  • Breakbarrel
  • Gas piston
  • Bull barrel
  • Ambidextrous thumbhole stock with twin raised cheekpieces
  • Textured grip & forearm
  • 70% quieter than most guns with metal mainsprings
  • Includes Weaver/Picatinny mount and unmounted CenterPoint Optics 3-9x40AO scope with mil-dot reticle
  • Sling swivel studs already mounted
  • Synthetic stock

If you shoot a lightweight pellet so its velocity exceeds the speed of sound, it could result in your pellet breaking the sound barrier and the gun being louder than expected! The speed of sound depends on humidity, temperature and altitude. Generally speaking, it's between 1,060 fps and 1,115 fps.

Here are the benefits of the Nitro Piston:

  • Smoother cocking
  • Smoother shooting
  • No spring torque
  • No spring fatigue, even if you leave it cocked for hours
  • Functions perfectly in cold weather
  • Lasts longer than a metal spring

The Trail NP air rifle features a black synthetic thumbhole stock. The ambi stock accommodates right-handed and left-handed shooters because it has raised cheekpieces on both sides of the buttstock. Use this air rifle for dispatching small garden pests, game such as rabbits and squirrels, and plinking.

    Aloha Sir,

Just a quick follow up on my Benjamin Trail NP purchased from your fine company... It's an excellent shooter! Just back from Wake Island where the rat population has be reduced... Slightly. That's certainly no fault of the rifle (or shooter for that matter), the island is quite overrun, with estimates in the millions we barely made a dent. Regardless, the Trail NP worked faultlessly and broken in quite nicely (200+ pellets). I zeroed the rifle at 30 feet calibrating the dot site to that range as well, the laser is great but we found it freaks the rats out & sends them running! Back to the rifle, my groups were attained with RWS 14.5g Super-Point .22 pellets, the heaviest pellets I had. I'll be purchasing some additional pellets from your store shortly, figure I need to shoot a wider range to find that "Magic Pellet" and make a more objective determination. Real world/field performance was very nice, my best shot was about 15 yards through some light brush to drop a 14" long Norway rat. It was a head-on shot & the huge rat dropped like a sack of potatoes.

The only issue I found with the Trail NP was/is the trigger, it's supposedly a two-stage design but is nothing like ones I've used/shot before. I'm thinking it may still require a little more break-in so we'll see. It's still quite adequate and only a minor irritation, I'm VERY happy with this air rifle overall. One last thing, I took the Trail NP with me to the range & shot her right along side my regular rifles this past weekend. It was able hold the X ring with a 2" group at 50 yards, that's with a 10knt crosswind as well. At 25 yards it easily gave us quarter to dime size groups while using a support & sand bag (rifle resting on the palm of my hand, kinda like a modified "artillery grip"). Overall a really sweet shooting package & one very satisfied customer! Thanks again :) BTW, several of our crew dogs have fallen in love with this air rifle so I've been turning them on to your website, hope a few send some business your way.

Thanks again & Mahalo ahui hou, Mark
