The RWS 56 is a recoilless sidelever rifle based on the action of the RWS 48/52 series.
By floating the action on rails, RWS takes the rifle's powerful recoil and significantly reduces the amount you feel. It also enhances accuracy, because the pellet exits the barrel before spring vibration is transmitted to it. Ideally suited for field target! Also great fun for shooting spinners and plinking.
Based on the proven design of the recoiless Model 54, the Model 56 adds a good looking muzzle stabilizer, ambidextrous thumbhole stock, and upgraded 2-stage trigger assembly with an all metal design. Also upgraded is the safety catch, which is now metal instead of the conventional plastic design of the previous models. To make the Model 56 even more appealing to the target shooter, the rear butt pad is adjustable for elevation. So, whether you are a serious target shooter looking for a tactical edge in a recoiless rifle, or if you are a long range hunter looking for superior follow through from a recoiless design, the RWS Model 56 is the ideal spring gun for your collection.
